The SUN is Born...

For some this statement is heresy. For others it is a reason not to give gifts and celebrate. For yet others it has no significance...they just like the season and plan to shop, eat, love and have a good time. Whatever your perspective that is OK.

The birth of the Christ energy into man is a wonderful happening, regardless of how any individual chooses to perceive it. What makes it even more wonderful is that the Christ energy is born in woman too. It must be so in this planet of duality, for where there is male there is female and where there is positive there must also be negative. This is needed to maintain balance.

The energy of the Christ was best manifested in the man called Jesus and the woman called Mary. No not the mother, the wife, the partner, the disciple whom Jesus loved and kissed often on the lips, the disciple that lead the other disciples in association with Jesus. Blasphemy you say?

It is time we explore, quest and come to an understanding of the truth for ourselves. Each of us must have our own concept of truth and when we are able we will come to the acceptance that there is no truth.

It is at this point that we are ready to begin the journey to divine union, as we release all judgement of ourselves and others. As we accept ourselves, strengths and weaknesses, our darkness and our LIGHT, we begin to accept others. We see the world around us as our mirror asking for our healing energy, our LOVE our Christ Light.

So yes, the Christ energy has been born in man and woman to be anchored in the Earth, so that we may all come to KNOW the Christ and experience it in our lives everyday and in a special way when we celebrate Christmas...for unto us the Christ is born.

Mat 25:29 For every one who has, he shall be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken from him.

This passage has puzzled me for many years. I have heard many explanations yet it is the one that came to me today that best answers my questions. Firstly what is it that a person must have to qualify "for every one who has" - my answer is faith, supported by a deep knowing that the is always more than enough for all. It is about being willing to get up and do, take a risk. A risk occurs anytime you have no sure knowledge of the future outcome. You act not out of fear or neediness but because you believe that there is an opportunity to prosper. Faith in itself is really nothing until you act. Step into your dream, your passion...do it from a place of Joy. Be willing and open to changes that come and the foreseeable and unforeseeable challenges. Knowing that no matter what the appearances at the present moment, everything will be fine in the end. So what do you have? An attitude of lack or of abundance. This is not something you can hold or touch right at this moment - this belongs in the realm of creation. The realms of inspiration, passion and thought. Yes it is a feeling. One that is rooted so deep down in your bones that you cannot shift it without completely changing your mind. As the Apostle Paul says...do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind...Rom 12:2 Yes so there it is. I grew up at a time where changing your mind was seen as a negative thing, and a thing that only women did... well now I know the truth. It is imperative to change my mind and not follow the pattern of the world.
Yes, it seems a hard pill to swallow, that for everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have in abundance; whoever does not have even what he has shall be taken away. It starts and ends in the mental/emotional realm do you have or do you have not, either way that is what you manifest in the physical. You manifest your fears if that is what is in your mental/reasoning and emotional/feeling space. Everyday as I look around it is becoming more clear to me that we humans live parallel lives...some call it class, some call it ethnicity, or whatever. I feel that these lesser categories do not apply. The real question is are you conformed to the illusion of this world or living from the reality of truth...that there is no lack only abundance. So move forward, forgive yourself, your parents/teachers, your spouse/friends or whoever introduced you to the illusion of lack. Recognise your gifts, your power (to multiply your gifts), your abundance... give thanks and live abundantly now.

So as brother Bob Marley says...Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds. Have no fear...

Live in love, Joy, acceptance, take risks, be the best you ever!

The Elephant

Recently an Elephant came into my life. It was a beautiful, small, bejewelled darling of an elephant. Of course, it caused me to check and see what message the elephant had for me. Elephants as a totem speak to us about ancient wisdom. loyalty, telepathy, relationships, bonding with same sex peers, knowledge of plants and roots and so much more. For me this message speaks not only to area of strength but also weakness, highlighting what may need more attention in my life.
It is fascinating to think about how this little elephant manifested itself in my life. I had been noticing very beautifully ornamented elephants in the stores since last December, but would not buy one. Then finally someone who I had said nothing to about any elephant gave me one as a gift.
So what animals are around you? Whether they are ornaments or alive, they may have a message for you. There may be some area in your life that needs to be enhanced and the energy/ strengths of that animal may be just what you need to enhance your life. Live Joyfully Now!

The Call

Do you perceive it. I do. As a call from the mother herself. It is a strong yet subtle energy that pushes forward urging me to do something in the Earth and I have responded by starting a kitchen garden. I have also learned more about rabbits in the last week than I knew in my whole life because of the urge to have a pair of these truly earth animals share my space at home. As the Mother speaks to us this year, I pray that we have the strength and courage to follow through. Be blessed! Be Abundant!

Reflections
Our tip for the month is – Take time to reflect. Ideally, each day, however, weekly, monthly or annually is good too. As you reflect do so from the perspective of your feelings and emotional responses rather than as a 3rd party recounting events. Feel free to ask yourself “why” and pay attention to the response or lack of it. Your feelings are often the doorways of inner growth. Use a journal to record your feelings and too for later reflection. As you re-read your journal months later you begin to see the threads that create the tapestry of your life.

Seventy times Seven

As we come to the end of 2009 and prepare to begin the New Year 2010 many are taking time out to reflect on the year. Asking several questions about what was achieved or not achieved all with a view to do better next year. One area that we should all address is the area of Forgiveness. Is there any person or situation in your life that needs the energy of forgiveness? If so, now is the ideal time to forgive yourself and any one who needs to be forgiven whether they have asked for it or not. Forgiving someone who has deliberately set out to hurt you is one of the best things you can do for yourself. It really does not help the other person much but it helps you tremendously. You are free of the negative thinking, free of the pain, free to continue enjoying life. If you do think about the person or situation after you have forgiven them and for a moment feel any anger remember the seventy times seven rule and bless and forgive them again.

This year I learned that forgiveness is truly a process. Over the years I have read much about forgiveness, one of my favorite Unity authors said that if you can accept that a person is only doing the best he or she knows how to do, then you will find it easy to forgive. Believe me, this works. I have forgiven so many people, situations, and even myself by accepting this to be the truth at the time…that I (or whoever) only did the best I knew how to do at that time. And of course you back it up with the Unity mantra…Let Go and Let God and that all is in Divine Order and boy do you feel good.

Until, you come to the situation where you know that the person has deliberately set out to hurt you, you know that the person knows better, you know that the person has pushed you down so that they could look good even if only for a moment. At that point you need to move to the process of forgiveness, this is when the, “Until seventy times seven” challenge is in effect. So each time you remember the frustration, the hurt, the betrayal the pain, you forgive. At first it is difficult, it feels almost impossible because the anger is there and you would rather send a curse not a blessing. Remember, I said earlier forgiveness heals you first. Yes, it may help the other person too but that is really not your concern. Your responsibility is to heal yourself. If we were to look at the Bible where this admonition is given to forgive your brother “until seventy times seven”, it is followed by a story that basically says that you will end up in a hell of your own creation if you do not forgive your brother or sister completely for what they have done or failed to do. You should take a moment and read it. Matt 18: 21 – 35. Also recall that the Christ speaks of the need to forgive quite often. We say in the Lord’s Prayer (if we dare), “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”. Do you really understand what you are asking for…again we limit the forgiveness we can receive by our own choices about forgiving others. Then again, the Christ says “and when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any that your father in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” Note the word may. No, I did not put it there, it is in your Bible go read it.

So as we come to the close of another phenomenal year let us redeem those painful moments with the love and light of forgiveness. Let us use all the joy we can muster to bless the sad times. Let us forgive our brothers, our sisters, our parents, our friends, our work colleagues, our former work mates, our bosses, our staff, our pets, and any situation of loss or pain that we may have endured. As we forgive, let us see each person, place animal or thing surrounded by the Light of God. Let us know that we are being healed even in this moment and let us move forward to face the next year proud of the growth and progress we have made this year and ready to move through the growth opportunities ahead.

phenomenal year

Wow! Today is exactly a year since I did the Teacher's program in Portland and what a year it has been! I started a new business Joyful Transformations, I had major surgery, I planned, organised and implemented the first Body Mind Spirit Expo in Barbados that was a great success, and the Kabbalah class that I worked for over two years to get off the ground has started. I visited my sister in NY who I had not seen for over 20 years and met my nieces for the first time. It was also my first time in NY. I participated in Malidoma Some's workshop in May and learned TM in October and these are just the high lights. This has been a phenomenal year and I am grateful, full of Joy and enthusiasm. I do have a few people to thank - Andy, Jared, Lauren, Kathleen, Lynn, John, Ethnie, Angelina, Gwenn, Fran, Kay, Elizabeth, and a stranger/friend from Germany who really forced me to open my eyes and take another look at me - to see myself as a spiritual healer. Information the new Commodity

Have you realised that information has become the new commodity item. This struck me recently that people are basically taking the same information and packaging and re-packaging it and selling it as if it were something new. Interestingly people are buying it big time. I remember several years ago as companies went through the Total Quality phase an American Facilitator came to the company I worked at to tell us we must forget the Golden Rule - Do onto others as you would have them do unto you - because it had been replaced by the Platinum Rule. Forgive me because I do not remember what he said it was, my mind went into a long struupps (a Trinidadian thing, find someone to demonstrate, and yes it is usually done aloud to let the person know you think they talking foolishness). I thought to myself if he truly understood the message he would appreciate why there could be no higher rule.

As a commodity, information can be very dangerous as each time it is repackaged it is done to serve the packagers purpose at that time. Interestingly, I have seen several presenters come back at a later time and expand on their earlier information which by their own admission was no longer correct.

In the information age it is critical that we carefully scrutinise all the information that comes to us. We need to treat it like the buffet table, there are somethings which you will have like salads, somethings that you may sample like carbs, and other things you will have in small quantities like red meat or not at all.

One of the reasons I think that people are so gullible to the newest information fad is that they have not truly digested the first set that they had. They have sampled it found it to be a little bitter or tough, so they move on, the next they find too spicy the next too hot. But unlike food when it comes to information it does not just make our stomach upset but our minds confused. In our search for correct information we should always start by going to the source. Rev. E Braithwaite a Unity Minister always said go first to God and then to man as God directs. I find this to be particularly useful especially when seeking information and enlightenment. Other Masters have also said that all that you will ever need to know is already within you.

Why a Body Mind Spirit Expo

“For a lack of knowledge people perish”…I am not sure who made that statement, but I find it to be true especially when considering our total health and wellness. My desire is to make individuals more aware of their options so that they avoid health crises. I feel that as we become aware of the needs of the soul we can make a change in life before a problem manifests. This is a philosophy that I believe is shared by all in the wellness professions. Whether they are psychics, medical doctors or massage therapists. I believe that diversity is necessary, as each individuated soul is different from the other and has its unique path to travel. I know that no one and no thing on the outside of us can heal us; it is the divine within that does the work. Healers therefore, in their various practices are all facilitators, aiding individuals to the path of wholeness. However, the individual must choose wellness each day and every moment of the day. Whether it is a question of how you will deal with your finances, your business, co-workers or some other relationship, each choice has wellness implications that can leave you so stressed that your body becomes ill. It is all about our choices. Having the information to make the right choice is one of the first steps to wellness. What you do with that information is totally up to you. So for me the Body Mind Spirit Expo is an opportunity to bring practitioners together to share their knowledge and experience with the people. It is an opportunity for people within the industry to learn more from each other and an opportunity for us to have a more informed and healthier nation. The 13th Sephira
It came to me as a whisper. There are 12 spheres in the Kabbalah not 10. Just a wisp of a thought but it stuck with me in spite of the insistence of the Master Kabbalist who said there are only 10. It is one of those things that you just know so the fact that a Master Teacher said otherwise did not diminish my belief in the still small voice. It needed no argument, no justification but of course the rational mind likes to check in on things and can find supporting arguments for anything you choose to believe and this was no different. It argued - Jesus called 12 disciples, together he and they were 13, 12 is the number of spiritual completion so how could there be only 10 emanations not 12, what of the Judas factor, and so it continued. Then out of the blue when the arguments had stopped because I could find no answers, no supporting evidence a friend calls, actually more of an acquaintance. He says he was watching a video of Dr. Phil Valentine talking about the Kabbalah and thought of me. He called around to get my number gave me a call and brought me the CD. There on the CD is a fellow Trini saying that there are in fact 12 spheres, that the authors had deliberately left 2 out. The two that according to him are critical to our ascension and return to the creator. So now there is evidence, the first piece has been given to me and I know that more will follow. This knowledge is important to us all and the work we are doing to prepare our body-mind for 2012. We too must call our 12 disciples, our 12 energy centres to be activated and to support us in our mission. And of course do not forget the Judas factor.

Heal the World...

These words haunt me...they are a reminder of the work that we all need to do at this time. For me there is only one place to start and that is with myself. So I'm looking at the woman in the mirror and I'm asking her to change her ways. There is always something more I can do to be a better person even if it is to eat less so that someone else can have more. Maybe it is to give something that I treasure away to someone who can use it now. What ever it is I will keep looking and doing so that in my own way I can contribute to healing the world by healing myself.

Ascension
Arise, pick up your bed... Go wash in the pool... those who worship must worship in Spirit and in Truth...I am going to the Father...
These words the Christ spoke to us so that we may know the Truth. The Christ within still speaks these words to us even today, in this moment, if you would listen you would hear the Christ within calling you up to a higher place, calling you to cleanse your body-mind, calling you to joyful worship as we together go to the Father. The Creator. The Source of All. We are called to Ascend. As we do this we shed our old selves, we release negativity, we forgive all hurts without reservation, we smile, we laugh, we dance and sing, sharing the joy and harmony we are meant to share with each other. The process of Ascension has begun. We are all on the path. We move forward as one body-mind, one spirit, one world. In Unity and in Love we go forward, the light has overcome the darkness and we live fully this moment and every moment in the Light.

The Light Within

Do you realize that you are vibrating? That as you vibrate you flicker on and off like the stars. Well you are and you do. If you have seen the movie X-Men you would have an idea of what you really look like if the human eye had the capacity to see higher levels of light. We are all light beings, that is why we are told to let our light shine. As we are true to ourselves and love ourselves with an open unselfish heart our light shines forth brighter day by day. Some of you already know that this light forms crystals in your body and if these crystals go off they can be removed and / or restored by light workers who are trained to do this type of work. You can help keep these crystals in good order by keeping the mind-body healthy. There are many ways to do this but basically it is through meditation, a semi-liquid diet and simple exercise. Meditation is critical as it allows the light to flow into the body. The semi-liquid diet helps flush the body and this works in harmony with the simple exercise.

Asking for a Sign
Have you ever asked for a sign? How did you do it? When I ask for a sign I try to keep my request simple and specific, not because I do not think that the Universe could answer a complicated question but because I may not understand a complicated answer. The simpler I keep my question, the more free of emotion and attachment my request is the faster and clearer the response. All of you who think I am writing this for you, indicate by a show of hands. Sorry you are all wrong I am writing this for me. I am writing this to remind me of the process I have used successfully in the past and will be using again in the future. If you can benefit through my sharing then that is wonderful.
So I encourage you to ask for that clear guidance, the sign, the answer that you seek that comes to you in a way that you know it is the sign you have asked for...the answer that you seek.

Let’s bring in the Agape Love of God;-)
Take a few moments to quite you mind and relax your body.
Breathe deeply the breath of life.
Feel the life force being restored to every area of your body from your head to your feet.
Focus on your heart, place your hand over it, if you need help remaining focused.
Send love first to your self – feel the warm blanket of love surround and enfold you.
As you fill up with the sensation of love send it to your family, then your friends, neighbours and those in close physical proximity to you. You need not know them. Keep breathing deeply and comfortably.
Envision your community; send love to the people animals and plants in your community, then the world and the universe – whatever you perceive it to be.
Do this as often as you can. The power to change is in your hand.

Divine Feminine

Spurned by most for centuries the Divine Feminine is calling to you for recognition and acknowledgement now. Not for Her sake but for your own. The masculine movement of women in the past century has been part of the process that facilitates the calling forth of the Divine Feminine energy in all, so that balance can be restored as the Earth and her children Ascend. So how do you access your divine feminine energy? Through your feelings. Accept your feelings. The most troublesome ones for many are the negative ones and these are the areas that are calling for more light this is why you perceive them as negative. These are the ones you need to restore so that you can get into balance. The water will help you. Go to it even if it is only a glassful; use it to help you connect to those dark places in your psyche. Then release your water through tears. Make a loud noise if you must but release them.
So the situation involved someone who died with whom you have incomplete business… remember energy is never lost it has changed from one form to another. You can access that person through your memory and your feelings. These gifts are stored in your body so that you can heal them and bring them back to the light. As you experience your feelings relax, breathe deeply, then bring yourself back to the present time and think of all that you have overcome and BE GRATEFUL! If experiencing your emotions is too much for you ask for strength and it will be given, if the feelings are too intense ask that the intensity be lessened and it will be so, if there is too much fear ask for the light to shine into the darkness and it will be so. Whatever assistance you need will be given in the moment. The Divine Feminine calls to you, it is within you, gender is irrelevant; you are Divine masculine and Divine feminine in balance.
Remember, there is a difference between being Balanced and being Equal. ALL are equal not all are balanced.

In the West we have 4 - Earth, water, air and fire (some add spirit or ether)
In Africa the Dagara have 5 - Water, fire, Earth, nature, mineral

Hummm...

When I get back my copy of Malidoma Some's book, The Healing Wisdom of Africa I will share a little about this cosmology. For now all I remember is that if the last digit in the year of your birth is 3 or 8 you are a nature person like me. We are the transformers++.

The "good" life

I am always fascinated by the way we name things often without regard to the nature of the thing or the consequences of our choices. At this moment in time we have a wonderful opportunity to name and to bless this year. We can choose to call it anything we wish, we can name the year from a place of joyful abandon or we can name it with a deep seated fear. We are co-creators with the almighty. We are gifted with a world in which everything was called “Good”. It is up to us to accept this “good” into our lives. I remember distinctly when I first came across this idea, it was in a Daily Word magazine, the author explained that we often ask for good things in our lives, but when they appear we cannot accept or believe that this good and wonderful thing has happened to us and often it just slips through our fingers. Yes, it’s been said before and I am just saying it again, what we say creates our experiences and our world. We have thoughts so that we can filter and refine our creations. We have an imagination so that we can picture the outcome of those thoughts and we have choice so that we can say only those things that we wish to have manifest in our lives. Oh, and don’t even begin to think that speaking ill of another will cause something ill to manifest in the other person’s life… fortunately you can only create your own reality so the negative thing that you bring to life affects you first. So create joy, create abundance, create health and peace. Remember focusing on the problem does not eliminate it, focus on the solution. Guard your mind, make your choices consciously not automatically and live!

Welcome to the Joyful Transformations blog. I look forward to sharing ideas, dreams and plans to spread the light in Barbados the region and the world. The name Joyful Transformations came to me the morning after I completed my Teachers/Healers Initiation in Portland. It just felt right, because that is what I hope to do in my life and to help others do with theirs, transform it joyfully from light to light; with a hug a smile and a thoughtful word. Oh yes and of course with the healing techniques I have been taught. Joy must be at the core otherwise what is the point? Joy and beauty seem to go hand in hand as the whole world seems more beautiful when you are happy. My slogan is "live in the light" to this says it all. In the light everything is clear, easy to discern, beautiful and easy.
So join me on this journey of Joyful Transformations together we change our lives and the world.
